We are excited to announce a deal with Tapulous – the developer behind the ultra successful Tap Tap Revenge series – to be their exclusive display ad network on the iPhone. With one of the most popular iPhone apps of all time, Tapulous has more than 15 million downloads and 500 million games played to date.
As early leaders in the iPhone space, Tapulous has done some amazing things with its portfolio of apps. We’ve already been working closely with their team and together AdMob and Tapulous have found that we share a common vision for creating engaging experiences for users. Under this new partnership, we’re excited to be working with them even more closely to define innovative new ad units specifically built for mobile.
In addition to working with AdMob as a publisher, Tapulous also plans to use the AdMob network to help promote the launch of its upcoming titles and eventually utilize our House Ads functionality to cross promote apps in its network.
I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of TTR 3, which looks fantastic. From what I’ve seen, Tapulous has a great opportunity to monetize in-app purchases, giving users the ability to purchase additional songs and avatars inside the app. See this story for more details.
